Term 1, 2019 Violin newsletter

26 February – UPDATE –  Re the workshop/concert on 11th May

Unfortunately the workshop and concert planned for Saturday 11th May with guest teacher Toni Robson has been cancelled, hopefully it will take place later in the year.
There will probably be a solo concert in June instead, date to be announced.
26 Jan – I hope you had a refreshing holiday. Here’s the info you need for violin lessons starting up again.
  • Lessons start from Tuesday 29th January.
  • Group lessons this term will be Thursdays at Buda as usual, Book 1 students 4.00 to 4.45 pm, Book 2+ students 4.30 to 5.30 pm.
  • Term 1 group dates – Thursdays 21st February and 14th March

A new event will be held this year on Saturday 11th May, 1.00 to 5.00 pm. It is a workshop and concert at Buda with inspiring teacher Toni Robson from Melbourne. Please join the Suzuki Music Association so this workshop can go ahead, and take a $10 discount off the workshop fee too!
The Suzuki Music Association of Victoria is having a Spring Festival this year on 2-5 October in the school holidays, where students learn and play music together with great tutors from Australia and overseas.  Go to www.suzukmusic.org.au for more information and membership forms.
In February and March the weather can be very hot. If hot weather is forecast, you can change your violin lesson to before school or for another day when cooler weather is forecast.  Just text or email me by 8.00 pm the night before with your request and I’ll be happy to help.
