Studio Newsletter for Term 4, 2019
Welcome to the 4th term, it’s going to be a cracker with a fast start as our final concert for this year is really early, in Week 3 on Saturday 26th October.
The group lessons are in the first two weeks on Thursdays, 10th and 17th October. We welcome Jeremy Challender and Pauline Walden as pianists.
Then individual lessons for the rest of term, with maybe a Christmas party on Thursday 28th Nov or 5th December, after school at group lesson time.
Please remember that music is life-affirming and not meant to be stressful. Due to the early concert date, I expect not everything will be as note-perfect as usual, particularly if you weren’t able to practise much in the recent holidays. But we will have fun anyway and enjoy a varied and interesting program, with a theme of ‘Round the world in music’.
Solos and piano rehearsals
Each player plays a solo, choose a piece you are comfortable with from earlier repertoire.
Students in Book 2 and above should have a rehearsal with Pauline Walden, which you need to arrange as soon as possible and pay separately for. It is likely that these will take place in my studio after school in times I am not teaching.

- Rehearsals for group items are from 1.30 pm, see noticeboard for your specific rehearsal start time.
- Please bring a plate for afternoon tea.
